A few weeks ago my husband made reservations for us at F. Scotts in Nashville, Tennessee. It was a wonderful meal and experience.  We ordered the Truffle Parmesan Pommes Frites as an appetizer. The were very tasty and seasoned to almost melt in your mouth. I ordered their Bouillabaisse, which included pan seared grouper, mussels, and shrimp with braised fennel, potatoes, spicy aioli, and crostini. It was fantastic, everything was prepared to perfection. Chad (hubby) ordered the Grilled Beef Tenderloin with roasted garlic herb butter, bacon demi-glace, Gorgonzola polenta, and crispy fried spinach. I tried the crispy fried spinach, mainly because I had never heard of frying spinach, but it was very good and actually did melt in your mouth. I’m not a huge fan of spinach alone, but was pleasantly surprised.

As if the appetizer and entrees were not enough, we couldn’t resist ordering dessert as well. I got the Chocolate peanut butter mousse with Banana ice cream. All I could say was WOW! I took forever with each bite to make it last as long as possible. Chad got the Fresh coconut cake with chocolate sauce and devoured it. There is live jazz music in the bar but it was not so loud you could not enjoy a quiet meal. If you plan to enjoy the music in the bar, make sure to check the website for the Speakeasy Phrase of the Week. Tell the bartender the phrase and you’ll get the special price listed on their website. If you’re in Nashville, check this place out! We went after 9:00pm so our food was half price. We enjoyed a gourmet meal at a chain restaurant price.

Enjoy, Lanah
